Meet The Doctor:
Dr. Nicole Janier OD was born and raised in Regina and went to the University of Regina for her undergraduate education. She then graduated as Valedictorian from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2015. She won a number of academic awards during school and was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa for all of 4 years. She worked in a busy private practice in Sarnia, Ontario for a year after graduation and then decided to move home and start practicing in Regina.
Dr. Janier's clinical training includes comprehensive primary care optometry, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, as well as pediatric and geriatric exams. She received hands on training during her last year of optometry school when she was an intern at the West Haven Veteran Affairs Hospital in Connecticut, Merrimack Vision Center in New Hampshire and the South End Community Clinic in Boston.
Dr. Janier has always been very involved with the community. During optometry school she was on a number of student committees that allowed her the chance to do vision screenings around the city of Boston and to help out with multiple charity events.
Dr, Janier loves to travel and spend time with her family including her two shiba inus. When she is not working she can be found walking her dogs or outside reading.
